Tips for hiring a backflow tester.
A list of Backflow Prevention Contractors is published at the beginning of every month and distributed to customers along with the annual notice to test. In addition to the other provisions in the Backflow Prevention Contractor Compliance Manual, a contractor must have at least one registered tester to be eligible for the list. Registration updates must be received in writing, two business days prior to the last working day of the preceding month for which the change is requested.
It is the contrator's responsibility to provide updated registration information to Colorado Springs Utilities.
