Colorado Springs Utilities provides electric, natural gas, water and wastewater services to citizens and businesses in the Pikes Peak region. This 4-in-1 service provides the convenience of one phone call to address all your utilities needs along with the economies of scale to provide some of the most reliable and low-cost services in the nation. Our customers receive some of the most reliable services in the nation. Whether delivering water from more than 200 miles away or sending electricity to your business, we deliver the quality and reliability that allow manufacturers with sensitive production processes to be profitable in our community. We are updating our Electric Integrated Resource Plan and identifying a combination of resources to meet our long-term electric needs in a cost-efficient and environmentally-responsible way. We continue planning for the Southern Delivery System, a water delivery project that will provide additional supply to the Pikes Peak region for decades to come. Competitive rates
Colorado Springs Utilities four-service rates are some of the lowest in the country. Compared to 16 competitive western U.S. cities, our rates are the fourth lowest for commercial and industrial customers. In addition to our competitive standard rates, we offer a variety of rate options that may meet your business needs and provide opportunity for savings. As a community-owned utility, we do not pay profits to shareholders. Any revenue above business costs is invested back into our operations to maintain safe, reliable service. We work hard to keep our rates competitive by anticipating the needs of our service area, then working to meet those needs in the most economical way possible. Financial stability
Colorado Springs Utilities maintains some of the highest bond ratings in the country – and has for several years. Based on information from Standard and Poor’s, only one electric utility in the nation had a higher rating in 2007. High bond ratings mean customers get more value for their dollar when it comes to financing capital improvements. Involved in the community
At Colorado Springs Utilities, we believe in helping improve the quality of life where we live and do business. We lend a hand to hundreds of nonprofit organizations and environmental groups in our community. In 2007, our employees contributed more than 16,000 hours in volunteer service to the community.
