Conservation is everyone’s responsibility, and we want to help you do your part. Our rebates encourage customers to conserve energy, which saves you money and helps protect the environment. We are committed to being an environmentally-friendly utility. Peak Demand Rebate The Peak Demand Rebate program is a custom rebate program for medium to large business customers with the goal of obtaining on-peak summer electric demand reduction. Business Lighting Rebate Colorado Springs Utilities is offering business customers rebates to help cover the cost of retrofitting lighting fixtures with new high-efficiency products. The 2008 program includes several new options. CFL Coupon Program This program may be used to supplement the Business Lighting Rebate. Business and Residential electric customers can visit one of five local lighting partners for an instant $1 discount on any ENERGY STAR® qualified CFL purchase. Rules and regulations - Equipment must be installed in the Springs Utilities service area.
- Equipment purchases must be made from Jan. 1, 2008 to Dec. 31, 2008. Purchases made prior to Jan. 1, 2008 do not qualify.
- Rebate applications must be postmarked by Dec. 31, 2008. Customers who make purchases in Dec. 2008 have until Jan. 31, 2009 to submit their applications, provided funding still exists.
- Installation costs are not rebated.
- Rebate applications must be complete and include the equipment worksheet and a copy of the purchase receipts. Incomplete applications, worksheets and those lacking a copy of the purchase receipts will be denied.
- Must be a Springs Utilities commercial customer and account must be in applicant's name.
- Purchase receipts must clearly identify the approved equipment included on the equipment worksheet and include date of purchase, purchase price, make and model numbers.
- Rebates are offered on a fist come, first served basis and are subject to availability of funds.
- Any installation site may be subject to inspection by Springs Utilities staff, and if such site does not have the qualifying equipment, the amount rebated will be charged back to the account.
- Account must be current and non-delinquent.
