Safety

The Silent Killer

Because you can’t see, taste or smell it, carbon monoxide is known as the silent killer. You can prevent CO poisoning with proper appliance installation, maintenance and use.

Go Slow in the Zone

With every construction zone comes equipment, workers and even daily changes in the roads you are traveling. Please do your part to make the cone zones safe.

The safety and well-being of all customers and employees is our priority.

The following principles will help ensure that safety is part of our activities, decision processes, operations and practices.

  • Accidents are an unacceptable impediment to the business success of Springs Utilities, the morale of all employees and the preservation of costly resources. Accident prevention is aggressively pursued.
  • Decision makers at every level will employ risk management approaches to prevent unacceptable risk to the safety of personnel and property, both public and private.
  • The acquisition of materials, equipment, facilities, and systems maximizes the use of engineering design to prevent or control unacceptable risks.
  • Life cycle safety considerations will be considered in the procurement, use and disposal of chemicals and hazardous materials, so as not to endanger or compromise public health and safety or the environment.
