Procurement and Contract Services provides our customers with required services in a timely, reliable and useful manner. These services follow the strategic and operational planning needs of all departments, as well as in accordance with accepted public procurement and contracts practices.
We pursue procurements that achieve a balance of interest and offer the "best value" by developing solicitation evaluation criteria that measure factors beyond initial acquisition price.

Our key objective is to assist in managing cost while maximizing service and quality. We do this in part by examining and implementing value-added procurement services. Additionally, we use vendors, contractors and service providers who exhibit the most cost effective and advantageous financial, technical and staff capabilities.
We also strive to keep as much of our spending as local as possible. We recently exceeded our goal of 30 percent for 2009.
