The Solution
Colorado Springs Utilities offers Enhanced Locating Services (ELS). Contractors have the option to schedule after-hours and weekend locating services.
Your Choice
Contractors still have the option of receiving locating services during normal business hours for free by calling the Utility Notification Center of Colorado (UNCC) at 8-1-1.
Or, you can choose to schedule our Enhanced Locating Services, which includes any utility locating service provided by Colorado Springs Utilities performed after normal business hours (Monday through Friday after 3:30 p.m.) and on weekends.

Three Easy Steps
- Sign an Enhanced Locating Services agreement and an Enhanced Locating Services authorization form and return them to Colorado Springs Utilities.
- Call UNCC at 8-1-1 to arrange for regular service or for location of utilities not serviced by Colorado Springs Utilities.
- Call Enhanced Locating Services at 719-448-4800 during normal business hours to schedule your after-hours and weekend services.
Low Cost
Getting the job completed ahead of schedule can sometimes mean a bonus for the contractor, but Colorado Springs Utilities knows that profit margins are never very large. That's why Enhanced Locating Services from Colorado Springs Utilities are affordably priced. Your cost is just $65 per hour per locator, with a minimum charge of $100.
