Our Community Focus Fund is a community outreach program that provides financial support, used computer equipment, and employee volunteer hours to local educational and nonprofit organizations.
In 2008,
- More than 964 Springs Utilities employees, and their friends and families, volunteered 7,187 hours on 143 community projects.
- Employees volunteered another 9,752 hours to community organizations as troop leaders, coaches, committee members, or as non-profit board members.
- We currently sponsor and participate in various community events and activities that are viewed as meaningful to the community. In contrast to our sponsorships and other community involvement activities, the Community Focus Fund program backs volunteer activities where employees are not compensated.
The program supports the needs of eligible nonprofit and educational organizations, promotes volunteerism, develops and supports projects for the benefit of the community, and develops partnerships with community organizations that will support and enhance these efforts.
