Bruce McCormick, chief water services officer

Bruce McCormick earned his bachelor of science degree in civil engineering from Montana State University. While attending Montana State, he was active in the American Society of Civil Engineers and intercollegiate athletics.

With 24 years of utility experience, Bruce began his professional engineering career in 1982 for the Salt River Project in Phoenix performing water planning and engineering.

Since 1988, Bruce has performed numerous roles at Colorado Springs Utilities, including senior project engineer, engineering section manager, natural gas distribution manager, construction and maintenance work center manager, system operations general manager, water resources general manager, and his current role as chief water services officer.

Bruce is a licensed professional engineer in Colorado and invests his time in the community through Springs Utilities’ Community Focus Fund, Care and Share, and Habitat for Humanity. He is also a board member for Partners in Housing.
