Colorado Springs is the only large Front Range city not located on a major river. To deliver water to our community, we maintain an extensive water system.
- 25 reservoirs and dams
- More than 200 miles of pipes
- Four major pump stations through seven counties
Given our semi-arid location, water conservation is very important, and rising reservoirs prove that your efficiency efforts make a difference in our supply.
In 2008, our community saved 2.8 billion gallons of water, compared to 2001.
Small changes can help you save water and money on your utilities bill. We encourage you to participate in our many programs designed to help you save.
