Your 2024 rates

Each year, we develop our budget and set rates to provide safe, reliable service and keep prices competitive.

Our experts look ahead to long-range plans to make sure we have the resources to maintain and expand a complex system.

As a community-owned utility, our rates are designed to cover the cost of providing services.

Revenue is invested back into the system to maintain and update aging pipes and wires, prepare for future demand and meet regulatory requirements.

In 2024, our overall four-service bill is expected to remain 8% lower than other Front Range utilities.

Here’s four things to know about 2024 rates:

1. Beginning January, base rates will increase by 8% for electric and 6% for natural gas.

2. Also in January, the new Colorado Clean Heat Plan Charge will be included on bills. The charge supports efficiency programs to reduce emissions across the natural gas system as required by Colorado law.

3. The charge would be about 75 cents on a typical monthly residential bill and $6.20 per month for business customers.

4. The total impact of all changes is about $8 a month on a typical residential bill. For business customers, the increase is about $37 a month on a typical bill.
