As a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, it is an honor to share this year’s Veterans Day message with you. On Veterans Day, our nation pauses to recognize the service, sacrifices and dedication of those who serve and have served. I hope that everyone who reads this has a special place in their hearts for veterans. Without them, America would not be free.
As an organization, we believe honoring our veterans is equally important all year. Our efforts to hire military veterans has proven to be a successful talent acquisition strategy. In addition to gaining high-performing employees, veterans place a high value on teamwork and a strong sense of mission stemming from their military service – characteristics we find well suited for what we do!
We have been fortunate to receive recognition for these efforts by a variety of organizations and numerous awards. This week we received the HIRE Vets Medallion Award for the second time! This is the only federal-level veterans’ employment award that recognizes a company or organization’s commitment to veteran hiring, retention and professional development. This award is a testament to our commitment to continue to honor those who have served once they have transitioned.
As you go about your Veterans Day, please take a moment to remember those we’ve lost and thank those you know who have served defending our freedom!
