In October 2025, we completed a multi-phase project to replace a water vault and isolation valves along North Academy Boulevard.
This project improves the reliability of our water system, helping us prevent outages and reduce the impact on customers during maintenance or repairs. We appreciate your patience and understanding while we completed this important project.
✔ Phase 1: April-May 2023
• Phase 1 involved the replacement of water valves beneath Academy Boulevard at the Maizeland Road and North Carefree Circle intersections.
✔ Phase 2: April-May 2024
• Phase 2 included the installation of multiple valves on large water mains near the intersection of North Academy Boulevard and Austin Bluffs Parkway. These valves reduce the number of people affected when we have to complete maintenance or repairs to the water main.
✔ Phase 3: January-October 2025
• Phase 3 involved the replacement of a water vault that was originally installed in the 1960s. The new vault improves the reliability of water service in the area and allows us to better identify leaks.
