Wastewater project

Northern Monument Creek Interceptor Project

We are working on a proposal to build the Northern Monument Creek Interceptor Project, a wastewater pipeline that would consolidate separate wastewater treatment systems into a centralized system.

The pipeline would save money, be environmentally responsible, improve system reliability, plan for future growth and maintain compliance with water quality regulations.

The pipeline would run from the Upper Monument Creek Regional Wastewater Treatment Facility, north of the Air Force Academy, to the J.D. Phillips Water Resource Recovery Facility, located near I-25 and Garden of the Gods Road in Colorado Springs. The proposed project would traverse the Air Force Academy and would include a total of 10.1 miles of pipeline when laterals are included.

In partnership with the United States Air Force, we invite the public to review and comment on the Draft Environmental Assessment (EA) and Draft Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) for the proposed project at the Air Force Academy.
