Business customers who have the capability to interrupt their natural gas service from time to time upon notice may qualify for our Interruptible Natural Gas price option. In exchange for the ability to interrupt service, we provide customers a lower price.
The program is designed to increase the reliability of gas supply to our community while managing our overall costs to provide gas service. The rate is available for natural gas customers willing to assume the risk of having their normally-priced gas supply interrupted during periods of high demand and/or low supply. Participating customers incur a substantial overrun charge if they use Springs Utilities’ natural gas during a declared interruptible event.
