For the average homeowner, upgrading insulation can cost an average of $2,000-$4,000, but this investment can quickly pay off. Depending on your home’s age, you can see an approximate reduction of up to 15% on cooling and heating costs.
Rebate amount
Our rebate can cover up to 40% of total installation costs (up to $3,750) for electric or natural gas customers. For each area you upgrade, eligible customers can save up to $1,250 for attic insulation, $1,250 for wall insulation and $1,250 for crawl space insulation.
Rebate process
- Work must be performed by a Colorado contractor.
- Insulation R-value must meet the U.S. Department of Energy recommended ratings: Crawl space - R15 CI. Attic – R49 – and exterior wall – R13. Attic insulation must include bypass air sealing.
- Keep a receipt of the work that includes the contractor information, product details, cost and payment.
- Review the rebate application for complete details.
- Complete the application.
- Submit your application by mail or online through My Account. View the program rules for additional information if needed.
Apply for this rebate
Follow these steps to apply for this rebate online:
- Log in to your My Account profile
- Hover over the Customer Center menu option, then click Rebates & Programs
- Find your rebate and click "Apply Now"
- Review the application, complete it and attach your receipts.
- Submit the rebate
*Please note: Customers using My Account to apply for a crawl space insulation rebate should use the "Wall Insulation" line to complete their application.
