Alleghany Viburnum
Alleghany viburnum is an easy-to-grow large shrub. Its claim to fame is the fact that its leaves stay on the plant for a long time, making it only briefly deciduous over the winter. The leaves are deep green, leathery and wrinkled.
In spring, the spectacular clusters of creamy white flowers give way to red berries. The berries darken to a glossy black and persist through summer and fall.
