Performance
Nearly wild rose has been fairly successful at the Xeriscape Demonstration Garden. The flowers are beautiful and bloom over a long period of time. They have suffered from aphids and dieback periodically, causing them to become misshapen. They seem to recover over time with selective pruning. Its short enough to serve as a groundcover or low shrub.
Maintenance
Prune any winter-killed branches in late spring. Prune to shape, if desired.
