Red Fox Speedwell
Red fox speedwell is a small, compact, perennial flower. It is grown for its upright spikes of densely arranged, dark pink flowers. The flowers are in bloom for a long period and make a nice vertical accent next to mounded plants.
Since red fox is relatively small, it makes a good plant for the front of a planting bed. It grows best with regular watering.

Performance
Red fox speedwell has grown at the Xeriscape Demonstration Garden for many years. It is a very reliable plant and is a good choice for Colorado Springs landscapes.
Because it can tolerate moderate water, it can be grown in the front of flower beds that get regular overspray from lawn sprinklers.
Maintenance
Cut back the stalks of spent flowers to a set of healthy leaves after flowering has finished. Cut old stems and leaves to ground level in late winter.
