Shadow Mountain Penstemon
Shadow Mountain penstemon is an easy-to-grow perennial flower. Its glossy, narrow green leaves form an attractive mound.
In mid-summer, it produces lavender-blue flowers with reddish veining and a bright white throat. This is a good choice for Colorado Springs landscapes because it can tolerate a variety of moisture levels and soil types.
It is similar to Pikes Peak purple penstemon but is a little taller, blooms for a longer period of time, and its flowers are lighter purple.
