Performance
White coneflower grows in some older parts of the Water Wise Demonstration Garden with little care or maintenance. It blooms every year and the birds enjoy the seed in fall and winter.
White coneflower can be a reliable garden perennial for moderate water zones in the Colorado Springs area.
Maintenance
White coneflower should be trimmed to the ground in early spring. After flowering, the central "cone" can be left to provide winter interest and seed for birds, if desired.
