Briargate Substation and Transmission Line

The Briargate Substation and transmission line projects expanded the existing Briargate Substation and connected it with the Cottonwood and Fuller substations via a new 230 kilovolt (kV) transmission line. The substation expansion and new transmission line together increase our energy capacity on the north side our service district and system reliability.

The Briargate Substation and transmission line projects support the Sustainable Energy Plan's objective of delivering reliable energy that meets the growing needs of our community. The projects were completed in March 2023.
