Horizon Substation

Electrical substation with transformers and power lines under a partly cloudy sky.

The Horizon Substation supports two-line positions and two distribution transformers and will have room to allow for future expansion. It is located southeast of the Colorado Springs Airport. 

The Horizon Substation addresses the Sustainable Energy Plan's objective to improve system reliability by expanding our resources to meet the growing energy needs of our community. The substation will be energized in 2024.
