Diablo Ninebark
Diablo ninebark is a large shrub grown for its dark burgundy leaf color. The branches grow in an upright, arching manner. Over time, the outer layers of bark separate from the larger branches, which is how it gets the name "ninebark."
This shrub produces clusters of small creamy white flowers in early summer. They turn into small dark berries later in the summer.
Diablo ninebark is a great choice for a large, easy-care shrub. It is adaptable to a wide variety of growing conditions.

Performance
Diablo ninebark has proven to be a tough, drought-resistant shrub. At the Xeriscape Garden, it has grown equally well in both dry and wet summers. Although the flowers are not spectacular, the burgundy leaf color makes it an attractive, eye-catching shrub throughout the growing season.
Make sure you plant it in a spot where it will have enough space when mature.
Maintenance
Prune out dead, flopping, or older branches to keep the shrub looking fresh and nicely shaped.
