Engelmann's Daisy

Engelmann's daisy is a long-blooming wildflower. One of its best qualities is the fact it flowers much of the summer, beginning in May and extending through September.

In the spring, it grows as a rosette of dark green, fuzzy, deeply cut leaves, earning it the name, "cutleaf daisy." It starts producing vibrant golden-yellow flowers in late spring and makes a great garden plant for low water areas.

Native to southeastern Colorado, Texas, Kansas, New Mexico and Oklahoma, it thrives in hot, dry, sunny sites. Its deep taproot helps it survive dry spells. It is highly desirable to rabbit and deer.
