James' Buckwheat
James' buckwheat is a gorgeous native perennial plant. The leaves grow in a simple mound and are shaped like spatulas.
In late August and September, clusters of creamy white flowers bloom on tall stalks. They age into attractive russet seadheads. This plant looks great with Blonde Ambition blue grama grass and makes a nice "filler" amongst more striking plants.
