Wood's Blue Aster
Wood's blue aster is a reliable fall-blooming aster with dark green leaves. It has lavender blue flowers from late summer to early fall.
It is shorter than other fall-blooming asters, which makes it less vulnerable to wind and hail damage.
Earlier in the growing season, the leaves create a nice mound of green leaves
