Korean Feather Reed Grass
The glossy green leaves of Korean feather reed grass form a graceful vase-like clump.
In late summer, large silvery-pink plumes appear, fading to tan seedheads in the winter. The feathery plumes are quite beautiful.
Unlike many of the ornamental grasses, Korean feather reed grass will bloom when grown in shade. Needs regular moisture and protection from the wind to grow well.

Performance
Korean feather reed grass has grown well in moderate water zones at the Water Wise Demonstration Garden. It also has performed quite well in full shade, blooming beautifully.
In years of water restrictions, Korean feather reed grass has not tolerated drought well. It needs regular moisture and protection from the wind to grow to its full height and bloom.
Maintenance
Cut down previous year's leaves and stems to ground level before new growth appears in spring.
